Our program manager is a licensed mental health counselor in the state of Washington with years of experience in intake coordination and referral. Clients are matched according to their stated preferences (e.g. provider’s gender, cultural knowledge, languages spoken, location of services, etc.), as well as the fit between their needs and the provider’s specialties, experience, and limits.
You can always reach back out to Pro Bono Counseling to be rematched with a different therapist or prescriber.
Pro Bono Counseling care coordinators will work with you to find the best possible therapist, even if it is outside of our program. We are also always adding new clinicians with different specialties. Additionally, you can choose to remain on a waitlist until an appropriate clinician is found. .
We currently have services in English, Spanish, and Mandarin. Pro Bono Counseling is always trying to expand our language offerings.
Mental health professionals join our network to provide free services by pledging to volunteer care to a certain number of Pro Bono Counseling clients. All providers meet with the Pro Bono Counseling team for orientation to the program and so that we can learn more about their clinical specialties and needs. For more information, visit this page.
To support as many individuals as possible, we partner with licensed professionals, student interns and those needing additional hours of supervision before licensure, who volunteer their services on a pro bono basis, ensuring equal access to quality mental health care.
