Project Access Northwest is proud to partner once again with Seattle/King County Clinic, scheduled for April 24–27, 2025, at Seattle Center.
Seattle/King County Clinic is a remarkable event that brings together health care organizations, civic agencies, nonprofits, businesses, and volunteers to provide free dental, vision, medical, and social services to those who struggle to access or afford care.
At this low-barrier clinic, individuals do not need any form of documentation or proof of income, insurance, or immigration status to receive care.
“Addressing health care disparities is a collective endeavor. It takes a village—a dedicated, compassionate, and collaborative village—to dismantle the barriers that hinder access to care,” said Julia Colson, Founder and Project Executive of Seattle/King County Clinic. “Our partnership with Project Access Northwest exemplifies the power of teamwork and the impact we can make when we uplift one another as well as combine our resources and expertise to bridge health care gaps for those who need it most.”

Expanded services
This year, we are expanding our services to include assistance in finding dental care and connecting individuals to vital community resources. Our efforts are made possible through the generous support of our partners at Seattle/King County Clinic, Kaiser Permanente, Arcora Foundation, HealthierHere, and the University of Washington Eye Institute.
Our dedicated care coordinators will be on-site to assist individuals requiring follow-up ophthalmology services for conditions such as glaucoma and cataracts. Additionally, we will provide coordination for behavioral health counseling, addressing concerns like depression, anxiety, self-esteem issues, relationship challenges, grief, trauma, and life transitions.
“Our partnership with Seattle/King County Clinic is a powerful example of what can be accomplished when organizations come together to address critical health care needs in our community,” said Scott Shurtleff, Mission Director at Project Access Northwest. “By providing follow-up coordination for ophthalmology, behavioral health, dental care, and other essential services, we’re not only connecting individuals to the care they need but also fostering hope and improving health outcomes for underserved populations in King County. It’s an honor to collaborate with such dedicated partners in this mission.”

Improving health outcomes and promoting equity across King County's diverse communities
With the help of thousands of volunteers, this four-day clinic, the largest community-driven free health clinic of its kind in the United States, transforms facilities on Seattle Center’s campus normally used for performances and events into a fully functioning health care operation offering dental, vision, and medical care to anyone who struggles to access and/or afford services.
We encourage those in need of these services to attend and take advantage of the comprehensive care available. Together, we are working to improve health outcomes and promote equity across King County's diverse communities.
