The M.J. Murdock Charitable Trust of Vancouver, Wash., recently awarded Project Access Northwest a $334,000 grant to support our efforts to provide behavioral health care services to the region’s vulnerable and uninsured patients.
Our new Pro Bono Counseling program will replicate successful programs in Maryland and Colorado, which provide talk therapy addressing concerns such as depression, anxiety, abuse, self-esteem, relationships, divorce, grief, trauma and life transitions. With this grant, Project Access Northwest will hire a licensed therapist to help coordinate strategic partnerships, establish clinical processes and help recruit a network of volunteer mental health specialists.
“This grant is key to getting our Pro Bono Counseling program launched, and we are so grateful for the support”

“This grant is key to getting our Pro Bono Counseling program launched, and we are so grateful for the support,” said Executive Director Gary Renville.
“We are now actively seeking licensed professionals and student interns to join our network as volunteers. There is a huge need for quality mental health care services in our community, especially for low-income and uninsured patients, and we are excited to be part of the solution.”
