For many years, supporters like you have helped Project Access Northwest improve access to healthcare, strengthen communities, and connect people to the care and support they need to thrive.
Today, we are excited to share an important next chapter in that work—and an opportunity to grow our impact in new ways.
Following months of planning and due diligence, Project Access Northwest and Companis have agreed to join forces, bringing together two organizations that share a deep commitment to service, volunteer engagement, and community impact.
At first glance, healthcare access and nonprofit capacity-building may seem like different missions. The more we explored this opportunity, however, the more we recognized how closely connected they really are.
Every day, we see that health outcomes depend not only on doctors, nurses, hospitals, and clinics, but also on the strength of the nonprofit organizations helping people navigate systems, overcome barriers, and stay connected to support. Simply put, healthy communities require healthy nonprofits.
For more than 30 years, Companis has strengthened nonprofits by connecting skilled volunteers with organizations working to improve lives throughout our region. Together, we believe we can create even greater impact.
What Is Not Changing

- By coming together, we will have new opportunities to strengthen connections among healthcare providers, nonprofits, volunteers, employers, educators, and community organizations.
- The combined organization will be better positioned to expand volunteer engagement, strengthen nonprofit capacity, improve access to care, and create healthier communities across Washington.
This partnership is not about replacing what makes either organization special. It is about building on decades of work and community trust to create a stronger foundation for the future. We are grateful for your support and excited about what we can accomplish together.
Though our partnership will not become fully effective until December 15, we will celebrate our partnership on the evening of October 3, at a combined gala event to be held at Museum of Flight in Seattle. More info to come, but for now, please save the date!
