Each year, the Seattle/King County Clinic transforms Seattle Center into a powerful symbol of what’s possible when community, compassion and coordination come together. Over four days, this extraordinary free clinic, the largest in the nation, brings together hundreds of health care professionals and community partners to provide essential medical, dental and vision services to individuals who struggle to access care.

This year, more than 3,300 individuals received no-cost services—including eye exams, dental extractions and fillings, physicals, behavioral health support and specialty medical care. For many, it was their first opportunity in years to receive care, obtain a pair of glasses, or get a long-awaited diagnosis.

As a long-standing partner, Project Access Northwest was proud to support this effort—not just during the event, but well beyond it. Our team was on the ground each day, ensuring that the connections made at the clinic translated into ongoing, equitable access to whole-person care.

“Our partnership with Project Access Northwest is breaking down barriers to health care, united by a shared vision of comprehensive, compassionate, and accessible care for those in need,” reflects Julia Colson, Founder & Project Executive, Seattle/King County Clinic. “It is an honor to collaborate with such a dedicated team to create a lasting impact on the health and well-being of our community.”

Community Resource Connection

We engaged with 110 individuals, providing one-on-one support to address complex health and social needs—from primary care referrals to housing, transportation, and food assistance.

“Being able to provide people with access to quality health services and resources is why we are here. These four days allowed us to not only help so many individuals who may otherwise never get the care that they need in order to survive, but also provides a chance for us to continue caring for them beyond the clinic.” Vy Mai, Manager, Community Resource Connection.

Human Impact: One man approached our table after recently losing his job. He had just learned he had 30 days before losing his housing. When we gently asked how we could help, he said—voice shaking—“I just need a sleeping bag.”

Our team immediately sprang into action, connecting him with emergency shelter referrals, basic supplies, and longer-term housing navigation. Most importantly, we made sure he knew he wasn’t alone.

A Collaborative Model that Works

“At the Seattle/King County Clinic, we see the power of community coming together to break down barriers to care.” Krinal Parsania, Manager, DentistLink Care Coordination.

At Project Access Northwest, we believe that care coordination is essential—not optional. We don’t stop at the initial referral. Our team works alongside patients, helping them navigate systems that are too often confusing, fragmented, or inaccessible—especially for those facing language barriers, immigration fears, or economic instability.

The success of the 2025 Seattle/King County Clinic is a reflection of what’s possible when we break down silos and prioritize whole-person care. It reminds us that health equity is not just an ideal—it’s a shared responsibility and an achievable goal when we work together.
