Project Access Northwest is thrilled to share its 2024–2026 Strategic Plan, crafted in collaboration with CL Strategic through a thoughtful and inclusive process in spring 2024. This plan reflects our unwavering dedication to ensuring equitable health care access for all across Washington state.
Through interviews, focus groups with staff and board members, and a collaborative retreat, four key focus areas emerged:
- Assessing and Refining Existing Programs—Ensuring current services address evolving community needs.
- Charting a Growth Path for Impact—Extending our reach to serve more individuals and communities.
- Advancing Advocacy and Systemic Impact – Tackling systemic barriers and championing health care accessibility.
- Ensuring Diverse and Sustainable Funding—Building a robust foundation for long-term success.
A landscape analysis highlighted critical factors such as political dynamics, changes in health care infrastructure, and the importance of data-driven strategies to guide implementation.
“As we embark on our 2024-2026 Strategic Plan, we reaffirm our commitment to addressing the pressing health challenges of our time and advancing health equity across Washington state,” said Gary Renville, President & CEO of Project Access Northwest. “This plan reflects our priorities: delivering high-quality services, charting a clear path for impactful growth, advocating for systemic change, and ensuring financial sustainability.”

The Strategic Plan aligns with Project Access Northwest’s vision—a community where everyone can access necessary health care services—and our mission to connect vulnerable individuals to vital care. Each focus area includes clear goals, actionable strategies, and designated leads to ensure accountability and success.
Looking ahead, Project Access Northwest aims to expand its network of providers to increase access to behavioral health, dental, and specialty care. Enhancing community outreach and leveraging technology, like telehealth, will further address social drivers of health. By continuously evolving and incorporating feedback from the communities we seek to empower, Project Access Northwest can continue to make significant strides in creating a more equitable health landscape throughout Washington state.
